-Step 1. Go to: https://opnsense.org/download/ download the correct image for your system and flash it with Balena-Etcher (or Rufus).

-Step 4. Next it will prompt you to setup you WAN and LAN Interfaces which you will want to have connected at this time. Setup your WAN as your connection from modem. Configure IP to be configured with DHCP.
-Step 5. For Lan interface, setup the connection that runs from your firewall to a switch.
-Step 6. Change Root Password to something complex. Click "Finish install" it will reboot, remove your boot usb so that you do not boot back into the install enviroment.
-Step 7. Presto, you should now boot up it will check all hardware and WAN and LAN interfaces and then introduce you to a login screen. Login with your root credentials and you are greeted with a Admin page in console that you can use to do various tasks. The rest is up to you.
